Is the sale of surplus dwelling property obligatory for Hajj?

If an individual possesses a spacious dwelling that exceeds his needs, and it is possible to sell the surplus and purchase a sufficient dwelling, retaining enough capital to fund Hajj, then performing Hajj becomes obligatory.
