Primary text

The slaughter is permissible outside the Haram at the location of the hindrance, following the example of the Prophet (PBUH) who slaughtered his animal at the tree of the Pledge of Allegiance (Bay'at al-Ridwan), which is outside the Haram. This is supported by the interpretation that the verse "...until the offering reaches its place" (Quran 2:196) means until it is slaughtered, and the slaughter for the Muhsar occurs in their place of exiting Ihram.

An objection is raised based on the verses stating that one should not shave their heads "until the offering reaches its place" (Quran 2:196) and that the culmination of the rite is "to the Ancient House" (Quran 22:33). Furthermore, it is argued that since the slaughter is related to Ihram, it should not be performed outside the Haram, similar to the penalty sacrifice (*dam*) for using perfume or wearing tailored clothes. The rebuttal states that the former verse applies to those not prevented, and the Muhsar cannot be analogized because the Muhsar exits Ihram in the *Hill* (outside the Haram), whereas others exit in the Haram, meaning each offers the sacrifice at their respective place of exiting the state.
