It is recommended to enter the Masjid through the Gate of Banu Shaybah (Bab Bani Shaybah). This is based on the practice of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Jabir narrated that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, arrived in Makkah in the late morning, tethered his mount near the Gate of Banu Shaybah, and then entered the Masjid.
