The Sunnah is to slaughter the Hady in Mina because the Prophet, peace be upon him, slaughtered there. Slaughtering anywhere within the Sacred Precinct is sufficient based on the statement of the Messenger of God, peace be upon him: "All of Mina is a place of slaughter, and all the valleys of Mecca are places of slaughter and passage."
