Primary text
When one approaches the grave, one should turn one's back to the Qibla, face the middle of the grave, and say: 'Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the Mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon you, O Prophet of Allah, and the best choice among His creation and servants. I testify that there is no deity except Allah alone, without partner, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. I testify that you have conveyed the messages of your Lord, advised your Ummah, called to the path of your Lord with wisdom and good exhortation, and worshipped Allah until certainty came to you. May Allah send abundant blessings upon you, as our Lord loves and is pleased with. O Allah, reward our Prophet with the best reward You have rewarded any of the Prophets and Messengers, and raise him to the Praiseworthy Station which You promised him, one envied by the first and the last. O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You blessed Abraham and the family of Abraham; indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. And grant blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You granted blessings upon Abraham and the family of Abraham; indeed, You are Praiseworthy, Glorious. O Allah, indeed You said, and Your saying is the Truth: {And if they, when they wronged themselves, had come to you and asked forgiveness of Allah, and the Messenger also had asked forgiveness for them, they would have found Allah Accepting of repentance, Merciful} [Quran 4:64]. I have come to you seeking forgiveness for my sins, seeking your intercession with my Lord, so I ask You, O Lord, to make forgiveness obligatory for me, just as You made it obligatory for those who came to him during his life. O Allah, make him the first of intercessors, the most successful of supplicants, and the most honored among the latter and the former, by Your Mercy, O Most Merciful of the merciful.' Following this, one supplicates for their parents, brothers, and all Muslims.

After supplicating for the Muslims, one should move forward slightly and say: 'Peace be upon you, O Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, peace be upon you, O Umar Al-Farouq, peace be upon you both, O companions of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon you both, O two companions, His two ministers, and the Mercy of Allah and His blessings. O Allah, reward them with goodness for their Prophet and for Islam: (Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured; excellent is the final home) [Quran 13:24]. O Allah, do not make this the last time I visit the grave of Your Prophet, peace be upon him, and the sanctuary of Your Mosque, O Most Merciful of the merciful.'
