Primary text

One should recite the Takbir (Allahu Akbar) with every stone. It is commendable to say, 'O Allah, make it an accepted Hajj, a forgiven sin, and a recognized deed.' Ibn Mas'ud and Ibn Umar used to say similar supplications. This is supported by the report that Zayd ibn Aslam saw Salih ibn 'Abdullah throwing the pebbles while saying these words, which his father reported the Prophet, peace be upon him, saying when throwing from that location.
