Is amputation applicable if a thief drags a piece of wood and drops it after partially removing it from the enclosure?

If the thief drags a piece of wood and drops it after removing only a portion of it from the enclosure, there is no amputation, regardless of whether the removed portion equals the Nisab or not, because one part cannot be separated from the other in this context.

Similarly, if a usurper holds one end of a turban while the owner holds the other, the usurper is not liable. The same ruling applies if a thief removes only part of a garment or turban.
