Primary text
Vegetables and cooking pots, such as those used for beans (baqila), require safeguarding by enclosure using reeds (shara'ih) or wood if they are kept in the marketplace and a guard is present. Safeguarding for wood, firewood, and reeds requires enclosure in sheds, stacking them upon one another, and binding them with a rope, provided this method is customary and makes unauthorized taking difficult. If these items are kept in a locked inn (funduq), they are considered safeguarded even without being tied or bound.
