Free men and slaves, as well as chaste (*Bikr*) and unchaste (*Thayyib*) individuals, are treated equally in the matter of confession to fornication. This is because the confession constitutes one of the two proofs for *Zina*, and thus all categories are treated the same, just as they are regarding testimonial evidence.
