When the prescribed punishment for Zina is established against a woman, her garments must be tied around her so that her body is not uncovered. This is supported by the narration of Abu Dawud where the Prophet, peace be upon him, ordered that her garments be tied around her. This action is also deemed more protective of her modesty.
