What is the prescribed amputation for a thief who has no right hand?
Chapter on Amputation in Theft
Al-Mughni
Book of Ḥudūd (Prescribed Penalties)
Primary text
If a thief steals and lacks a right hand, the left foot shall be amputated, similar to the amputation performed for the second instance of theft. This is maintained because the right hand is absent, necessitating amputation of the corresponding limb on the left side.
