What is the ruling regarding amputation for theft when two individuals participate in removing property from a dwelling?

Amputation is obligatory upon both individuals when two men enter a dwelling, one securing the property below with a rope and the other above extending the rope to remove it. This ruling is held by the companions of Imam Ahmad. The basis for this ruling is their joint participation in extracting the property.
