What is the ruling regarding stealing after the Khums has been separated from the spoils of war?

If the Khums has been separated, and a person steals from the remaining four-fifths (the shares of the recipients), the hand is cut off. If they steal from the Khums portion after it is separated, the hand is not cut off.
