What is the ruling on the theft of property moved from a house to a courtyard?

A hand of cutting (amputation) is established for the theft if the property is removed from the house to the courtyard, provided the house door was closed and subsequently opened or breached by the thief. This ruling is upheld by Ahmad ibn Hanbal and is understood to apply specifically to the scenario where the house door was initially closed.
