Is unlawful sexual intercourse (Zina) established when a man has sexual relations with a woman through her anus (dubur)?

Book of Ḥudūd (Prescribed Penalties)
Primary text
If a man has penetration into a woman's private parts unlawfully, without any semblance of right (shubhah), he is considered a fornicator subject to the Hadd of Zina, provided all conditions for the Hadd are met. Sexual intercourse in the anus is likewise considered Zina because it involves penetration into the private part of a woman over whom one has no ownership or semblance of ownership, similar to intercourse in the vagina. This is evidenced by the Quranic verse regarding women committing lewdness, followed by the Prophet's clarification that the penalty for an unmarried woman ('al-bikr') is one hundred lashes and an exile of one year. Furthermore, intercourse in the anus is categorized as lewdness ('fahishah') based on the statement regarding the people of Lot, where the act was termed 'al-fahishah.'
