Primary text
It is impermissible to kill a person whose blood is protected, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, in order to save one's own life. Furthermore, it is impermissible to injure such a person. This ruling is based on consensus because one cannot preserve oneself by destroying another life similar to oneself. This point has no scholarly dispute.
