Is reciting the Salawat (blessings upon the Prophet) required along with the Tasmiyah during hunting?

Book of Hunting and Slaughter
Primary text
The Salawat upon the Prophet peace be upon him is not legislated to be recited along with the Tasmiyah during slaughter or hunting, as stated by Al-Layth. This position is taken because the Prophet peace be upon him mentioned two instances where he would not mention himself: at the time of slaughter and sneezing, and because mentioning anyone other than Allah besides the Tasmiyah resembles associating others with Allah (Shirk).

Abu Ishaq ibn Shaqila and Al-Shafi'i chose the recommendation (Istihbab) of reciting Salawat, basing this on the Hadith stating that whoever sends blessings upon the Prophet once, Allah sends blessings upon him ten times, and the interpretation of Quran 94:4, where Allah states, "And We have raised high for you your remembrance."
