Primary text

If an animal dies due to a combination of a permissible agent (like an arrow) and a prohibited agent (like poison), it becomes forbidden. This is analogous to an animal killed by a Muslim and a Magian, or when game is killed by a trained dog and another dog whose status is unknown, or if game struck by an arrow is found drowned, fallen from a height, or crushed by something. If it is known that the poison did not contribute to the killing because the arrow was more effective, then the consumption is permissible due to the absence of the prohibited factor.
