Is there a distinction in the ruling on eating until satiety based on the perceived duration of necessity?

A distinction may be drawn between when the necessity is continuous and when it is expected to cease. If the necessity is continuous, such as for a Bedouin who asked the Prophet (peace be upon him), eating until satiety is permitted. This is because if one limits consumption only to sustaining life, necessity will soon return, and the person cannot move far from the carrion out of fear of future necessity, which could lead to physical weakness and possibly death. This contrasts with a situation where necessity is not continuous, as the person hopes to acquire permissible sustenance.
