Primary text

Six scenarios exist where two kinship ties converge for inheritance to be valid. Among males, there is one scenario: an uncle who is also a uterine brother. Among females, there are five scenarios: a daughter who is also a sister, a granddaughter who is also a sister, a mother who is also a sister, a maternal grandmother who is also a paternal sister, and a paternal grandmother who is also a uterine sister. Whoever inherits based on the stronger of the two kinship ties inherits through the lineage of sonship or motherhood, excluding brotherhood and the son's lineage (grandson's lineage).
