Primary text

If the father of the maternal uncle and his sister is only related through the maternal line (min umm), the portion designated for them (one-third) is divided equally between the maternal uncle and his sister.

Supporting text

If their father is related through the paternal line (min ab) or both lines (min abawayn), there are two narrations: one states the division is equal, and the second states the division is into three parts, with the remainder going to the paternal aunt (Ammah). However, the majority of expert calculators (Al-Fardiyyin) rule that the entire estate belongs to the paternal aunt.
