Primary text

If the deceased leaves five son's daughters, some being lower in rank than others, and there is no male heir or *Asabah*, the eldest receives half (1/2), the second receives one-sixth (1/6) to complete the two-thirds share designated for daughters, and the remainder of the shares are forfeited by the others. The residue goes to the *Asabah*.

Supporting text

If the eldest daughter has a brother or a paternal cousin present, the estate is divided into three parts: two parts go to the brother/cousin and one part goes to the eldest daughter, and the rest are excluded. If the second daughter has a male *Asabah*, the eldest receives half (1/2), and the remainder is divided between the male *Asabah* and the second daughter in a 2:1 ratio. Similar division rules apply if the male heir is present with the third, fourth, or fifth daughter, proportional to the remaining shares after the fixed shares of the first and second daughters are allotted. This distribution scheme has no known disagreement among those who affirm the inheritance of son's daughters alongside son's sons after the two-thirds share is completed.
