The grandfather receives one-third (Al-Thuluth), and the remaining portion is divided between the two full brothers. The parents (of the deceased) receive their share according to the consensus of scholars. If there are three full children, the grandfather still receives one-third.

According to Zayd, Ali, and Ibn Mas'ud, the grandfather receives one-quarter if there are three full children, as they engage in participatory division (Muqasama) until the share reaches one-sixth.
