General Chapter

Book of Inheritance Shares (Farā'id)
Primary text
If full sisters (sharing both parents) and paternal-only sisters are present, the full sisters receive two-thirds of the estate, and the paternal-only sisters receive nothing unless a male relative is present to act as an 'asaba (residuary heir), in which case the distribution follows the rule of 'for the male, the share of two females' in the remainder.
Supporting text
If there is only one full sister and multiple paternal-only sisters, the full sister receives one-half, and the paternal-only sisters receive one-sixth to complete the two-thirds, provided no male 'asaba exists.
