Primary text

The maternal aunt receives one-sixth (al-sudus), and the remainder goes to the paternal aunt. If the paternal aunt is treated as a paternal uncle's daughter, then the two daughters of the full sister receive one-half (al-nisf), the two daughters of the paternal sister receive one-sixth (al-sudus), and the two daughters of the maternal sister receive one-sixth (al-sudus).

Supporting text

If there were six separate daughters of sisters, the shares would increase to seven based on these proportions, requiring an increase in shares (as a form of 'awl).
