Primary text

The remaining one-sixth is divided among the daughters of the paternal cousins on the basis of five shares, making the total divisible by thirty. If a maternal uncle (khal), maternal aunt (khalah), or any of their children are present, they receive one-sixth (al-sudus), and the children of the paternal cousins receive nothing.

Supporting text

The children of the paternal cousins inherit only according to the view of Ibn Salim and his followers, who exclude the children of the sisters. This exclusion is also implied by the view of Abu al-Khattab.
