Open in Qurani

Primary text

The two daughters of the sisters from both parents receive two-thirds, and the offspring of the mother receive one-third, solving the case from six shares. This is Muhammad's view.

Supporting text

If the issue involves a son of a sister from both parents, a son and daughter of a sister from the father, two sons and two daughters of another sister from the father, and three sons and three daughters of a sister from the mother, the solution is from one hundred and twenty shares according to those who diverge, sixty according to those who favor the minority, and fifty-four according to Muhammad.
