Primary text

The inheritance belongs exclusively to the paternal aunts and maternal aunts, excluding the cousins (sons). The maternal aunts receive one-third, and the remainder goes to the paternal aunts.

Supporting text

If three siblings' children are present, the maternal aunts receive one-sixth, and the remainder goes to the paternal aunts because they are analogous to the father, thereby excluding the siblings' children who are analogous to full siblings. An alternative consideration suggests treating siblings' children from the paternal side as superior to paternal aunts because they are children of the deceased's sons, while paternal aunts are sisters to the deceased.
