Primary text

The wife in a revocable divorce during her Iddah inherits from her husband, whether the divorce occurred during illness or in good health. This is established without known dispute. This view is narrated from Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, and Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them). This is because the revocable wife is considered a spouse whose divorce, pronouncement of *Zihar* (inconjugality), and *Ila'* (oath of abstention) are effective, and he may take her back without her consent, guardian, witnesses, or a new dowry.
