Primary text

If paternal aunts of the father are present alongside the maternal aunts of the mother and the maternal aunts of the father, the maternal aunts of both the mother and father share one-sixth of the estate between them. The remainder of the estate goes to the paternal aunts of the father because they are treated as equivalent to the paternal grandfather.

Supporting text

If the grouping consists of one paternal aunt of the father and one maternal aunt of the mother, the maternal aunt of the mother receives one-third, and the paternal aunt of the father receives the rest. This is the analogy of the madhhab and the view of the scholars of Iraq.
