Is the gender of siblings relevant in calculating the mother's share reduction?

There is no distinction between male and female siblings when calculating the reduction of the mother's share from one-third to one-sixth. The term 'Ikhwah' (brothers) used in the relevant verse is inclusive of both genders, as evidenced by the context in Quran 4:176 which mentions 'men and women'.
