Primary text

The maternal aunts of the mother are treated the same as the paternal grandmother (mother's mother), and the maternal aunts of the father are treated the same as the paternal grandmother (father's mother). Thus, the estate is divided equally between these two grandmothers. Each grandmother's share is then divided among her respective sisters (the aunts) in five parts. The paternal uncles of the mother are disregarded because they are equivalent to the father of the mother's mother, who is not an heir.
