The mother receives one-third (Al-Thuluth) of the estate, and the paternal grandmother receives nothing initially. Regarding the remainder, there are two narrations: one states that the remainder is returned to the mother through Radd, and the second states that the remainder goes to the paternal grandfather's grandmother.
