Primary text

The entire estate is divided between the two grandmothers through fixed shares and return (Al-Farḍ wal-Radd) according to the opinion of Ali. This implies equal sharing of the fixed share (one-sixth each, totaling one-third) and the remainder being distributed back to them proportionally.

Supporting text

According to the narration of Ibn Mas'ud, one-sixth is divided between them as the fixed share, and the remaining wealth goes to the paternal grandmother, as she acts as the residuary heir of the deceased's father.
