Primary text
When both spouses apostatize, their marriage contract is dissolved, and they do not inherit from each other. This ruling applies whether they join the Dar al-Harb (Abode of War) or remain in the Dar al-Islam (Abode of Islam). This position is held by Malik and Al-Shafi'i.
