What is the rule when the remaining heirs consist of two full brothers, or one full brother and two full sisters, or four full sisters?
Chapter on Inheritance of the Grandfather
Al-Mughni
Book of Inheritance Shares (Farā'id)
Primary text
When the remaining heirs consist of two full brothers, one full brother and two full sisters, or four full sisters, the distribution is such that the one-third of the remainder (ثلث الباقي), the one-sixth share (السدس), and the shared division (المقاسمة) are equal.
Supporting text
If the number of remaining heirs is greater than those specified (implying more siblings/sisters than the defined ratios allow for equality), the grandfather does not receive a share through shared division (مقاسمة). Instead, he takes the fixed one-sixth share (السدس), and the remaining portion goes to the sisters.
