If seclusion (khulwah) occurs, and the husband makes such a declaration and the wife believes him, she is entitled to inheritance, must observe the waiting period prescribed for death (idda al-wafah), and is entitled to the full dower. This is because seclusion is considered sufficient to establish these rulings.
