Primary text
When the daughters of a deceased father inherit, they are entitled to two-thirds of the estate. The mother of the deceased is entitled to one-eighth of the estate. The remainder is then given to the deceased's paternal uncle. This ruling was established following the incident involving the daughters of Sa'd ibn al-Rabi', leading to the revelation of the inheritance verse concerning female heirs.
