Primary text

If an uterine sister acknowledges a brother, and there is a residuary heir (Asaba) in the case, the acknowledged brother receives nothing. If there is no residuary heir, the brother receives one-sixth of what remains in her possession. This division results from the interaction of the denial scenario being based on five parts and the acknowledgment scenario on six parts. Multiplying these yields thirty parts. The sister retains six parts from the denial scenario and five parts from the acknowledgment scenario, leaving one excess part, which is given to the brother regardless of his relationship (uterine or otherwise).
