According to the primary position, the newly married wives inherit, excluding the divorced wives. According to the second view, there are two possibilities: either the inheritance belongs entirely to the divorced wives, or it is divided among all eight women.

Malik states the inheritance belongs to the divorced wives, and the newly married wives receive nothing because their marriages are invalid according to him.
