Primary text

A Muslim does not inherit from a disbeliever, nor does a disbeliever inherit from a Muslim, due to the difference in religion. Likewise, those professing different religions do not inherit from one another. The scriptural proofs regarding inheritance were not considered for adherence or deviation in religion, even though explicit reports concerning religion exist and provide sound consideration. Muslims inherit from one another even if their territories differ, so too should disbelievers of the same creed.
