Primary text

If a debtor possesses two dwellings and one suffices for his residence, the other dwelling must be sold because he is deemed self-sufficient without it. Similarly, if his residence is excessively large such that one of similar size is not required, it must be sold, and a suitable one purchased for him; any surplus funds must be returned to the creditors. This is analogous to excessively fine clothing which the debtor is not expected to wear.
