Must a person accept a gift, charity, bequest, loan, or marriage proposal?

Primary text
A person is not compelled to accept a gift, charity, bequest, or loan. Likewise, a woman is not forced into marriage to receive her dower (*mahr*). This ruling stands due to the imposition of obligation associated with accepting the favor in gifts, charity, and bequests; the required exchange in a loan; and the husband's ownership and associated rights over the wife in marriage.
