What portion of the assets of an insolvent craftsman must be left to him?

If the insolvent person possesses a craft and can earn enough to support himself and those he is obligated to support, or if he can earn this by hiring himself out, acting as an agent for someone, or earning from permissible means sufficient for his needs, nothing shall be left to him from his assets. If he is unable to secure the necessary means of livelihood through the mentioned methods, he shall be left from his assets an amount sufficient for his sustenance.
