Primary text
The creditor possesses the right to persistently pursue the debtor, demand payment, and use harsh language, such as calling him unjust or an aggressor. This is supported by the statement of the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him: "The refusal of a wealthy person to pay permits his punitive measures and the speaking against his honor." Punitive measure refers to his detainment, and speaking against his honor permits severe language. Furthermore, the Prophet, peace be upon him, stated: "Delaying payment by a wealthy person is oppression," and "The right-holder has a standing (to make claims)."
