Primary text

If the artisan performed the work for which the value increased but has not received his wages, he has the right to retain the garment until his wages are paid in full. If the increase in value is equal to the wages, the wages are paid to him from the proceeds. If the increase is less than the wages, he retains the garment to recover the amount equal to the increase, and he shares with the other creditors (for the remainder of his dues). If the increase exceeds the wages, he receives an amount equal to his wages, and the remainder goes to the general creditors.
