Al-Kharqi authored numerous compositions within the Madhhab. However, only his work, 'Al-Mukhtasar' (The Summary) in Fiqh, was disseminated publicly. His other writings were lost when the house where they were stored burned down in Baghdad, after he left the city due to the public denigration of the Companions.
Supporting text
Al-Kharqi died in the year 334 AH in Damascus. It is mentioned that the cause of his death was a beating he received after enjoining good and forbidding evil in Damascus.
