General Chapter

Book of I'tikaf
Primary text
It is permissible for the person in I'tikaf to eat within the mosque. He should place a cloth or mat upon which any falling crumbs or debris may land, in order to prevent soiling the mosque premises. Furthermore, he may wash his hands in a basin (*tast*), provided he empties the wastewater outside the mosque.
