Primary text
A contract entered into by a captive willingly, such as a purchase or a loan, is valid. The captive is obligated to fulfill the contract because it is a contract of exchange (mu'awada), resembling transactions made by a free person. This ruling is based on the nature of the contract as a bilateral exchange.
