Distribution ratio for a cavalryman whose horse is of mixed Arabian and non-Arabian descent (hajin)?

Primary text
If the horse is 'hajin' (a term used here generally for non-pure Arabian horses, such as those whose father is Arab and mother is a jennet/mule, or generally any non-Arabian horse according to Al-Kharqi's interpretation), the soldier is given one share for himself and one share for his horse. There are differing narrations from Ahmad regarding the share for the 'hajin' or mule (baradhun). One view, favored by Al-Khallal, Al-Bakr, Al-Kharqi, and Al-Hasan, is that the mule receives only one share, aligning with Abu Hanifa's view on the horse share.

A second reported view from Ahmad, favored by Al-Khallal, Umar ibn Abd al-Aziz, Malik, Al-Shafi'i, and Al-Thawri, is that the mule receives the same share as the pure Arabian horse (three shares total), based on Quran 16:8 and the general term 'horse'. A third view is that if the mule achieves the standard of the Arab horses, it receives the same share. A fourth view suggests no share at all, as it does not perform the actions of pure Arabian warhorses.
